Skills of life...

“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.”

– Hellen Keller

I find this quote to be incredibly inspiring. Hellen Keller, deaf and blind, realized that even though she cannot do everything she knew that she could still do something. I think that this is important for all of us to remember. We are all individual human beings, yet we are one person. We are not two faced and have split personalities, we are one. Many of us cannot do all of the things that we would like to do. Maybe something hinders us from doing those things. And many of us are not skilled in certain areas where others are. For the things that we do know how to do, we should not refuse to do them. Say, for example, you are a really good writer, yet you do not want to write an essay. You are refusing to use one of your greater talents simply because you do not want to do it.

Do not take life for granted because you only get out of life what you put into life. Live with no regrets and do not refuse the things that you are skilled at.

Peace through Love.

  1. wow, very inspiring :) it shows how everyone is good in their own thing and you need to use as much as you can what you are good at. (and not moan about what we cant do- what a lot of people often do including me)
